Danny and Kerrie Kennedy (your hosts) have been exploring the waters around Gizo since 1985. They have a well trained team to look after you, and pre and post dive set up is all part of the service. Their dive boats are Long Boats catering for eight divers, and all carry VHS radio, DAN oxygen and first aid kits on board at all times.
Sometimes it can be a bit wet to the dive sites (10 - 20 minutes) but the water is warm (28-30º). If diving the eastern dive sites, divers are picked up from all accommodations. If diving the Toa Maru and northern dive sites, divers meet the boat at the wharf opposite the PT 109 Lodge at 8.30am.
After the first dive is complete, it is only a short ride to one of the many deserted islands for a picnic or barbecue lunch. After lunch and a sun bathe or snorkel, you are off for the next dive, returning back to Gizo mid afternoon.
Transfers to/from your accommodation is included.
Danny and Kerrie have made the waters around Gizo famous for having the most diverse and exciting diving to be found anywhere in the Solomon’s; some may even say in the world. With the Toa Maru, WWII fighter aircraft, plummeting walls, Manta Ray dives, and two of the ultimate big fish dives “Grand Central”, and “Hot Spot”, this all adds up to one of the best dive locations in the South Pacific.
