Matafonua Lodge is located on beautiful Foa Island with the peace and tranquility of a deserted beach. There are many bush trails and uninhabited islands with some of the best beaches in the South Pacific to explore. Set amongst bush and palm trees and surrounded on 3 sides by crystal clear water it is perfect for divers, families and budget travellers.

Matafonua, with it's great laid back atmosphere and delicious food, features 10 traditional style beachfront fales: 4 twin/ double and 6 family fales. Each fale has its own balcony to relax and enjoy the seaviews and resort's surroundings. Fales are fitted with twin or double beds, mosquito nets, 240v power, deck chairs and tables.

The toilet and shower facilities are shared and the lodge has its own bar and restaurant overlooking the reef.

Matafonua has its own Scuba Diving Center and also offers Whale watching trips during the Humpback Whale season from July- October.
