Dive Vava’u is a small TDI/SDI 5 star Resort Dive Centre offering a very personal dive experience. With their high speed boat most of the dive sites are within a 20 minute ride, enabling you to spend more time underwater and also to see the beauty of the islands as you travel.

Paul and Karen, owners and highly qualified dive guides, have spent many years working as instructors around the Pacific, and as whale watch guides. They chose Vava’u as the perfect place to call home and bring a wealth of experience to these waters.

Their boat, the Tonga Tango is an 8.5-meter RIB designed with diving in mind. She is designed to take a maximum of ten divers or twelve "Whalesmimmers". Twin 175hp Mercury 4-stroke Verado engines power the boat for a fast, clean, and quiet ride. Designed to comfortably cruise fully laden at 30kts, getting there becomes half the fun. For photo and video buffs, Tonga Tango has a specialized camera table with fresh water rinse to take care of your expensive gear. Their custom one of a kind dive ladder has also solved the old problem of getting out of the water and back into a RIB.

Their Second boat is a 10m Island Hopper, that travels at 20 knots, fitted with Cumminus QSB engine, hot shower, toilet and upper helm station with a capacity of 12 divers, plus the crew.

With Safety in mind the boats has been built to exceed USCG and New Zealand requirements. They also carry a VHF radio, medical kit, and O2 onboard.

Dive Vava’u offer TDI/SDI/PADI and Naui dive courses, from Discover Scuba to Divemaster. Specialties are available from Deep through to Cavern and all the others in between. They have a fully equipped Photo and Video Center.
