Niue is a very special South Pacific island destination, situated 410 km east of Tonga across the dateline. It is a single island and the largest coral land mass in the world; an uplifted coral atoll atop an old undersea volcano and rises off the sea bed out of the deep Pacific Ocean.
It is a great place for an adventurous holiday with some exciting fishing opportunities to be had.
From June – October, humpback whales migrate through the Niuean waters, and on any fishing trip there is a good chance you’ll be able to see some of the magnificent creatures.

Geoff Thomas’ Personal experience on Fishing Niue
“Best wahoo fishing I found anywhere in the Pacific! You are fishing within 50 metres as there is no reef, and I love the undeveloped, natural charm of the place and the people. As well as wahoo there are yellowfin, mahimahi and the odd marlin. The diving is hugely popular, and when not fishing you can swim in the hidden grottos and caves. And check out the burgers at the Washaway Bar!”
