The game fishing grounds are close to Vava’u and the fishing boats all depart in the early morning, returning by evening. Most Marlin, Mahimahi, Sailfish and Tuna are caught fishing the 100 fathom drop-offs, which are located less than a mile off shore.

There are a number of sport and game fishing boats available in Vava’u, all well founded vessels with the crews and skippers having both local knowledge plus a great depth of experience in sport fishing.
