Ski-in / Ski-out accommodation
Panorama has a range of slope-side lodging options, situated in an intimate village that’s built for walking. Choose from spacious alpine town homes, the comfort of a condo, or budget-oriented accommodation. All have doorstep access to village activities and amenities.
Improved Beginner Facilities
Over the next three years, Panorama Mountain Village will improve facilities for novice skiers and riders. The bunny slope has been re-graded and widened by 20 metres. Panorama has also installed a brand new 450 foot magic carpet to replace the old handle-toe, making it much easier for first time riders. This new carpet is in addition to the existing 70 foot carpet that accesses a 10% graded slope; perfect for the wee ones.
Biggest and Best Terrain Park in the Kootenay Rockies
Other resorts in the region may be eliminating “air” from their terrain parks, but Panorama is going BIG! New this year, the main terrain park will run the entire length of Showoff, directly under the Mile One Quad and in full view of the village. Panorama now has the biggest and best terrain park in the Canadian Rockies region.
Grooming
Panorama’s state-of-the-art snowcat fleet travels 220 kilometres every night to prepare renowned skiing and riding surface for the next day.
Easy Access
Fly into Calgary and drive one of the world’s great mountain highways, through Banff and Kootenay National Parks.
Taynton Bowl
“Until 2001, Taynton Bowl was exclusive territory for rk heliski, and a skier had to shell out a cool grand for the bowl’s 1855 vertical feet of glades, chutes, and gullies. Now for a mere $67 lift ticket and three quad rides, the wind-loaded basin is yours”. Evelyn Spence – Skiing Magazine.
Family Friendly
Panorama Mountain Village is the ultimate family friendly destination. Ski-in / ski-out accommodation means no problems when someone leaves their mittens at home! The comfortable condo style and townhome style lodgings at Panorama are perfect for active families. Instead of eating out for every meal, parents and kids can easily drop back into their unit for a bite to eat or even a little nap before heading onto the mountain again for a few more runs.
SOS School of Skiing and Snowboarding
Panorama is home to Don and Heather Bilodeau’s School of Skiing and Snowboarding (SOS), one of the best in Canada. Spend some time with our professionals and you’ll enjoy more of the mountain with confidence.
Panorama Springs Hot Pools
Incredible slope-side hot pools at the base of the mountain. Need we say more?
rk heliski
Flying from the heart of the village, rk heliski specializes in one-day trips for those new to the big mountains and deep snow.
