Ski and Snowboard Lessons for Adults

Private or Semi-Private Lessons
Picture yourself or your family with your own private coach. Sessions will be tailored to suit your needs while the pros take you to the best spots on the mountain! There is no better or faster way to learn and improve your technique than private coaching, so book one of the highly trained coaches for a private session today.

Ski Academy Courses
A typical course with Ski Academy starts at 10:00a.m. Monday morning. If you are an early riser, lifts open at 8:30a.m. giving you plenty of time to take a few early morning runs in the fresh powder, then grabbing a quick coffee at Bugaboos before you meet up with your trainer.

At 10:00a.m. you will head off with your trainer and continue refining your technique. If it is a video day, you will shoot video then review your skiing with your trainer before heading out for the afternoon.

The afternoon sessions will generally be adventurous by nature exploring your favourite runs, and testing your skills in the moguls, steeps and powder. Video may be taken again in the afternoon to show how you are doing in the off-piste conditions.

The basic philosophy of the trainers is to improve your skills through individual focus, and use video to help you realize your progress. Skills are usually developed on groomed terrain in the morning unless there is 20cms of new snow, in which case it’s customary to take a few powder runs.

Afternoons will be typically time spent learning how to ski everywhere but the groomed runs. By the time 3:30p.m. rolls around each day you will probably be ready for the hot tub and/or a beer to celebrate the day’s achievements.

Group Programs
Silver Star’s renowned Snowsport School offers group clinics called A.M.P. – All Mountain Programme. These clinics are run daily for the beginner to advanced skier or boarder. Snowsport School staff are certified and trained to take your sport to the next level, ‘guiding while you are riding.’ Running daily, meet on snow at 9:45 am for a 2 hour lesson to commence at 10:00 am for ages 13+.

Advanced Ski Improvement Clinics
Do you love steeps, trees and bumps? This improvement clinic is a program for those who want to ski black diamonds exclusively. Get lift line priority, rip down lines you never knew existed, and learn to ski faster and cleaner each day. This 3 day clinic runs Monday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday weekly throughout the season.

Intermediate Ski Improvement Clinic
Same 3 day programme as above however this programme is geared more toward the Level 3 and 4 skiers. Your coach will hone your skills and introduce you to the black runs. This 3 day clinic runs Monday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday weekly throughout the season.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons for Kids

Staff at the Star Kids Centre know that children and families don’t always want the same things. Outstanding care and instruction from some of the best pros in the industry, flexibility and variety are what they base their product line on at Star Kids. Kids aged 4-6 ski together as “Ski Cubs” and kids aged 7-12 ski or ride together as “Snow Rangers”. With options to suit everyone such as : Full Day Adventure Week, Half Day Adventure Week, Full Day Adventure and a Half Day Adventure, you’ll be sure to find the perfect fit.

Rentals

Whether you’re a first time or advanced skier or rider, Ski Dazzle Rentals has the equipment for you.
