Services of our unique tour guide Uli Dinsenbacher. Uli speaks German and knows the resorts well
Uli Dinsenbacher Tour leader and Instructor
Uli is currently General Manager at Porters Ski Area in Canterbury, and has been there over 20 years! Uli grew up around the ski fields of Bavaria, taking up ski instructing and racing at the age of 16. Since then he has spent many years skiing, coaching and instructing in Germany plus North and South America. Uli arrived in NZ in 1981, met and married a Kiwi girl and has 2 teenagers who are also into skiing and racing.
We are very fortunate to have such an experienced tour leader such as Uli conduct this tour - you will be in great hands as he leads you through the best Austria and Italy has to offer – all the while ensuring you gaining some great friendships along the way. And, if some members of the group are up for it and want to accept the challenge of ‘Valluga’ – an extreme traverse at St Anton and a world famous ‘off piste’ ski descent – Uli will negotiate with an official guide on your behalf, as it is the only way you can embark on this gut-wrenching challenge.
Uli knows about getting the best out of the mountains, and would love to share his wealth of expertise and experience with you both on and off the mountains. You will benefit from his patient, knowledgeable advice on how to carve up the mountains, along with tips and helpful hints on how to make the most of your time skiing.
