Ski Furano
Furano is one of the most famous ski areas in Japan. The Resort is located in the middle of Hokkaido at the foot of Japan’s mountain range.
Furano has an abundance of varied terrain for every level of skier and snowboarder and a vertical drop of over 950 metres, making it one of the steepest mountains in Hokkaido.
It’s a powder skiing mecca, and usually receives an average 8 metres of the lightest, driest snow each ski season, yet has more blue sky sunny days than any other resort in Hokkaido.

Many of Japan's top skiers choose to base themselves here due to the great conditions and exhilarating mountain.
The Terrain
If you are looking for cruisy trails, beautiful views and high speed lifts, Furano is for you. You will experience perfectly groomed trails allowing high-speed carving turns and the odd mogul run. There are 25 kilometres of runs, including a 4km long beginners run.
The mountain is divided into the Kitanomine Zone and the Furano Zone. Both zones can be accessed on one lift pass and are serviced by 11 lifts.
