The Village
Both the Furano and Kitanomine zones have a variety of accommodation options and the town of Furano is only a 3 min shuttle from the Kitanomine zone and a 6 min shuttle away from the Furano zone. Furano is home to a wide array of restaurants and bars and all the services you would expect to find in a town.
There are plenty of non skiing activities in the area: snowmobiling, ice fishing, parasailing, horse riding and dog sledding are just some of the activities on offer. Visit a local art gallery, a cheese factory or a winery, plus there are various craft and cooking workshops available.
Backcountry tours are also available to some of the beautiful peaks around Furano itself, as well as day tours to the nearby ski areas of Mt. Asahidake and Kamui.
There is a wide variety of Japanese and Western style restaurants and cafes in both the Ski Village and the main township of Furano. A free night shuttle bus gives easy access to the restaurants in the main town area. Furano township also offers a supermarket, some shops, - including a ski shop, and a Post Office.
There are also two Internet cafes available for visitors use.
A new complex houses a gymnasium and 25 metre indoor pool, serviced by a regular shuttle service from the Kitanomine accommodation village.
