Snow Snow and more Snow
The 2008-09 North American and Japan ski season kicked off early with big snow dumps in early November. And it has just got better and better as the season continues. We are now 1/3 way through and the snow just keep coming and coming, and predictions are it will keep snowing for the next month or so.
There's so much snow, the snow ploughs are working round the clock and the groomers working overtime to pack the fresh powder on the ski trails, and with predictions for more great snow dumps through out February and March, it's promising to be a long wonderful season this year, extending through to late April at most resorts. Some, especially in Alberta, will continue through until May, with excellent snow conditions.
Fresh Powder and Corduroy!
Which is fantastic news for skiers! Our clients are all returning home with rave reviews about powder skiing up to their thighs, virgin untracked snow and powder that's fresh, deep and truly exhilarating. For those not so comfortable in powder, there's fantastic corduroy on the freshly groomed trails, and not a rock or patch of ice in sight!
It's not too late to get amongst it.
With 2-3 months of truly great skiing still ahead, there's plenty of time to get up there to enjoy it all this season. There is still space on flights and in the hotels so there is no excuse not to go!
